Science fiction is not to be taken lightly

I've always thought that science fiction has been regarded as a minor genre.

But if you look at the facts, there are several ideas that were invented by sci-fi creators.

For example, the talking computers in Star Trek are a kind of Alexa/Siri/Google assistant, while the communicators worked much like our smartphones.

Today androids are more of a reality than a possible invention of the future.
